Julie Damon
Julie’s adventure in the nonprofit world began in 1995 when
she developed a unique business seminar for entrepreneurs with disabilities
at Irvine Valley College. Seeing the huge community need for self-employment
training and resources for people with disabilities, she co-founded
a nonprofit organization that provided microenterprise development
services in collaboration with the State Department of Rehabilitation.
For these efforts she received the National Home Based Business Advocate
of the Year award from the U.S. Small Business Administration in 2001.
Julie has over 16 years of experience working in the nonprofit
community as a nonprofit co-founder and executive director and,
more recently, as a marketing and technology consultant to nonprofit
organizations in Southern California. Julie’s expertise areas include
business and marketing plan development, marketing communications,
and online marketing.
Julie brings her unique small business and nonprofit background,
as well as her previous experience as marketing coordinator for
the recreation division of the El Toro MCAS, to her current consulting
business, Branded4Good. Established in 2006, Branded4Good provides
marketing services to nonprofit organizations, specializing in branding
and identity development, marketing planning and communications,
and website development.
